None of the Above A Cappella
Soon after joining NOTA A Cappella, I became the social media chair and got to combine three things I love - music, my friends and social media. With the design changes I implemented (new highlights, increased image quality on the feed) and promotion of our Instagram during this time, we gained 200+ new followers.
Instagram Feed & Highlights
With the addition of story highlights, I began posting a more behind-the-scenes look of the group during rehearsal and at our gigs. I also focused on highlighting the members of the group through the “members” highlight and through the other highlights. Since recruitment is very important every semester, it is important that our audience feels a connection to our members and our music.
The account’s feed during my time in the role ordered from oldest to newest. Most recently since our shift to fully virtual events, I have focused on adding “teaser” videos for our full-length music videos so that we are more active on our account. Additionally, I focused on posting videos rather than photos because our audience engages more with them.
Color Pop Portraits
Since 1991, NOTA’s traditional outfits have highlighted the rainbow and all of our branding incorporates bright neon colors. With this photoshoot I wanted to honor our history and emphasize our rainbow colors while highlighting every member. I featured these photos when creating promotional materials for our winter concert and the concert’s slideshow that highlighted the soloist during every song.
